Argyle: Raced this week in a non winners of 2 at Philly. She got away from the gate last and was in no hurry as Tim Tetrick followed Hill of Fame (co-favorite) cover and came second over. Tim pulled her clear late and she closed missing by a head finishing third. We are still looking for some more speed from her. We made the decision after the race to move Argyle from trainer Annette Lorentzon to Julie Miller. Argyle has not progressed as expected so far this year, hence the trainer change. We hope to find out if we have overrated her talent or if she has not hit her potential yet. Stay tuned.
Almanac: Raced at Scioto Downs last night, his first start back after time off to treat stomach ulcers. Brian's plan was to use the race instead of a qualifier and to not worry about where he finished. The goal was to finish strong and not first up. The horse raced well, as it was a fast group, and it was a good comeback outing for him.
Shakespeare: Entered in a condition race on Tuesday the 8th at Yonkers. This is prep for the Messenger Eliminations (also at Yonkers) on the last Friday in June.
Gulf Shores: Still doing well. Brian plans to train him Tuesday and Saturday next week at Delaware County Fairgrounds.
