Marcus Johansson – Racing Manager

Marcus Johansson is a native of Målilla, Sweden, where he grew up racing harness ponies.  After taking an interest in harness racing, Marcus moved to Allentown, New Jersey in 1997 in order to pursue a career as a driver and trainer in the United States.  Marcus joined the Diamond Creek team as Racing Manager in 2020.  In his current role, he oversees the growing Diamond Creek Racing stable by consulting with trainers, appraising young bloodstock and helping to decide the best course of action for the racehorses. 

Anette Lorentzon

Anette was born in Sweden, where she began training her own horses at only 11 years old.  She moved to America in 2003 and now owns ACL Training Stable. One of her biggest successes came with homebred trotter, Guardian Angel As, who has now made over a million.


Brett Pelling

Brett is a native of New Zealand who returned to the US in 2011 after an 11 year training break.  He is now based out of NJ, where he runs a competitive training barn, campaigning horses like Rocknroll Hanover, Papi Rob Hanover and Caviart Ally.

Brian Brown

Brian grew up around Standardbreds and received his matinee license at age 16. He began by driving horses for family and soon began driving for other owners. In the early 1990's, Brown decided to stop driving and begin training.  His operation is centered in Ohio, where he has produced some of the top young horses in the sport, including former Pacer Of The Year, Downbytheseaside.


Chris Ryder

Chris grew up around Standardbreds as his father was a very successful trainer in New Zealand. Chris and his wife Nicola came to America in 1989 where he started working as a horse agent before transitioning to training. Chris has trained many well-known champions, including Bettor’s Wish, Party Girl Hill, Put On A Show and I Luv The Nitelife. 

Nancy Takter

Nancy set out on her own in 2014, and now has a training history that includes Captain Crunch, who was the 2018 2-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year.  After an extremely successful 2020, with Horse of the Year, Tall Dark Stranger, and other big names like Manchego, Kissin In The Sand, Always A Miki and more, Nancy was unanimously voted 2020 Trainer Of The Year.
